War Wolves do not run in low health. These giant wolves are usually tamed by Orcs to mount them.

When killing those just be careful that you do not run into to many other War Wolves or other Orcs as they usually come in groups. Not a creature which is hunted often as the exp / hp ratio is horrible, they do not drop anything useful except for the food and there are no spawns without any other stronger monsters.
